Orders typically ship within 1 to 3 business days from our studio in Pendleton, Oregon. Most Le Grand Candles are made to order due to their size and handcrafted nature, so processing times may occasionally be slightly longer during launches, holidays, or high volume periods.

Once your order ships, tracking information will be sent by email.

Domestic Shipping

We ship throughout the United States via USPS and UPS. Shipping times vary depending on carrier and location.

Because our Le Grand Candles are hand poured in oversized reusable vessels and crafted with four cross wood wicks, each candle is carefully packaged to help ensure safe arrival. Due to the size and weight of these candles, shipping times and carrier handling may occasionally vary.

Candle Care During Shipping

Extreme temperatures may affect natural wax during transit. If your candle arrives warm or softened, allow it to rest at room temperature before lighting.

Delivered Packages

Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, R. Rebellion is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. We strongly recommend selecting Shipping Protection at checkout for added coverage and peace of mind.

Returns + Exchanges

Due to the nature of home fragrance products and the handcrafted nature of our candles, all Le Grand Candles are considered final sale once burned or used.

Unused candles in original packaging may be eligible for return within 7 days of delivery with prior approval. Because of the size and weight of these vessels, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrives damaged or defective.

Our candles are crafted with all natural coconut soy wax, reusable whiskey glasses, and premium Wood Cross wicks designed to create a soft crackling ambiance inspired by the warmth of an open fire. Proper candle care helps ensure the cleanest burn, best fragrance performance, and longest life of your candle.

Before Each Burn

Gently remove any loose charred wood from the previous burn and keep the wick trimmed short, approximately 1/8 inch. Wood wicks perform best when clean and properly maintained.

Because Wood Cross wicks are crafted from natural wood rather than cotton, they may require multiple lighting attempts, especially after the first burn. For best results, we recommend using a torch or utility lighter rather than matches. Apply the flame near the base of the wick closest to the wax surface until the flame draws evenly across the wood.

Our Le Grand Candles feature four large Wood Cross wicks and require a little extra attention during lighting. Be sure all wicks are fully lit and remain lit before walking away. Due to the natural characteristics of oversized wood wicks, Le Grand Candles can be a bit divaish and may require occasional relighting or extra patience during the first few minutes of burning.

Achieving a Full Melt Pool

For best performance, allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the vessel during every burn, especially the first burn. Achieving a full melt pool edge to edge helps prevent tunneling and encourages a cleaner, more even burn throughout the life of the candle.

Most burn sessions should last approximately 4 to 6 hours depending on room temperature and environment.

Our Le Grand Candles are exceptionally large, multi wick statement candles and require longer burn sessions to achieve a complete melt pool. For best performance, we recommend allowing the wax to fully melt to the edges during each burn. Depending on fragrance, room temperature, and environment, this may take approximately 5 to 6 hours.

Burn Environment

To help maintain a cleaner burn, avoid placing candles near open windows, fans, air vents, or drafts. Airflow can cause uneven burning, excessive flickering, and additional carbon buildup on the inside of the glass.

A small amount of carbon residue may naturally occur over time with wood wick candles due to the larger, more ambient flame created by Wood Cross wicks. This is a normal part of the burning process and does not affect candle performance.

When to Stop Burning

Discontinue use once approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

Cleaning + Repurposing the Vessel

Once less than 1/2 inch of wax remains, allow the candle to cool completely before cleaning.

To remove remaining wax, either place the vessel in the freezer to help release hardened wax easily, or carefully pour softened wax onto a paper towel and place it in the garbage. Never pour wax down the sink or drain.

Once emptied, gently remove the wick tabs and clean the vessel with warm water and mild soap before repurposing.

TRIM BEFORE EACH BURN

Gently remove loose charred wood and keep the wick trimmed to 1/8" for a clean, even flame.

ALLOW A FULL MELT POOL

Burn 4 to 6 hours. Allow melted wax to reach the edges of the glass during every burn to help prevent tunneling.

DISCONTINUE AT 1"

Stop burning when approximately 1 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the glass.

YOUR NEW VASE

Once finished, clean the glass with warm water and reuse it for floral or decor displays.

THE LE GRAND EXPERIENCE

Everything you need to know about burn time, wick care, melt pools, vessel reuse, and getting the most from your candle.

BURN + PERFOMANCE

How long will the Le Grand Candle burn?

The Le Grand Candle has an average burn time of approximately 250+ hours when properly cared for.

Because of its oversized scale, four Wood Cross wicks, and substantial wax volume, Le Grand was intentionally designed for long evenings, slow weekends, gatherings, holidays, and homes where fragrance becomes part of the atmosphere itself.

Burn time may vary slightly depending on room conditions, airflow, burn duration, and wick maintenance.

For the best experience, we recommend burning Le Grand for longer sessions rather than short intervals.

Is the Le Grand strongly scented?

Le Grand was designed to create a noticeable fragrance experience in larger spaces while still feeling elevated and refined rather than overpowering.

Its fragrance throw performs especially well in:

Open concept homes
Large living spaces
Entryways
Dining areas
Cabins and lodges
Gathering spaces

Fragrance strength may vary slightly depending on room size, ceiling height, airflow, and the fragrance selected.

How long should each burn session be for the Le Grand Candle?

The first burn is the most important burn of your candle’s life.

Because Le Grand is an oversized four wick luxury candle, the wax surface must fully melt to the edges of the vessel during the initial burns to establish an even burn pattern moving forward.

We strongly recommend allowing Le Grand to burn for approximately 5 to 6 hours during the first burn, and similarly long sessions during the next several burns as needed.

Short burn sessions during the beginning of the candle’s life can cause the wax to tunnel inward around the wicks before a full melt pool is established.

Once deep tunneling develops in a candle of this size, it becomes significantly more difficult to correct and may affect:

Wick performance

Flame stability

Fragrance throw

Overall burn life

Even wax consumption

Patience during the first several burns creates the best long term experience and allows Le Grand to perform as intended.

Why is achieving a full melt pool so important?

A full melt pool means the melted wax has reached evenly to the outer edges of the vessel.

This is especially important for Le Grand due to its oversized diameter, deep wax volume, and four Wood Cross wick design.

If the candle is extinguished before the wax fully melts across the surface, the candle may begin forming a tunnel around the wicks while leaving hardened wax along the outer edges.

In large candles, tunneling can eventually create several performance issues, including:

Wicks becoming buried or drowned by surrounding wax

Difficulty keeping all wicks evenly lit

Reduced fragrance performance

Uneven heat distribution

Loss of overall burn time

Large amounts of unused wax remaining along the sides of the vessel

Because Le Grand was designed as a true luxury statement candle with an exceptionally long burn life, giving the candle enough time to establish a full melt pool is essential to both performance and longevity.

Large candles naturally require more patience than smaller candles, especially during the first several burns.

For best results:

Burn Le Grand in longer sessions rather than short intervals

Avoid placing near fans, vents, or strong airflow

Ensure all wicks remain evenly lit during burns

Allow the wax to melt fully to the edges before extinguishing

The reward is a dramatically better burn experience over the life of the candle.

Why does my candle look uneven after burning?

Natural waxes may develop slight texture changes, frosting, or uneven surfaces as they cool. These are normal characteristics of handcrafted candles and do not affect performance.

Why is there wax remaining at the bottom following the final burn?

For safety reasons, we recommend discontinuing use once approximately 1 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

Allowing any candle to burn completely empty can cause excessive heat transfer to the glass.

The remaining wax helps protect the integrity of the vessel during the candle’s final burns.

Why is there black residue on the glass?

A small amount of carbon buildup or dark residue on the inside of the whiskey glass may naturally occur over time with wood wick candles, especially if the wick is left too long or the candle is exposed to drafts, fans, or airflow. Because Wood Cross wicks create a larger, more ambient flame than traditional cotton wicks, occasional residue is a normal part of the burning process and does not affect the performance of the candle.

To help maintain a cleaner burn, gently remove loose charred wood before each lighting, keep the wick trimmed short, and avoid burning near open windows, vents, or fans. Any residue can typically be wiped away easily once the candle has cooled.

WOOD WICK CARE

Why does the Le Grand Candle require a little more care than traditional candles?

Le Grand is crafted with four natural Wood Cross wicks rather than standard cotton wicks.

Wood wicks create the soft crackling ambiance and glowing flame Le Grand is known for, but they behave differently than traditional candles and require a bit more attention, especially during the first several burns.

Because of the candle’s large diameter and natural wood construction, it is important to ensure all wicks remain evenly lit while the candle establishes a full melt pool across the surface.

Like a real fireplace, part of the beauty of Le Grand is that it feels alive, warm, atmospheric, and slightly imperfect in the best possible way.

What is a cross wood wick?

Our candles feature premium Cross Wood wicks designed to create a soft crackling ambiance inspired by the warmth of an open fire while promoting an even burn experience. Made with American hardwoods. Our signature cross wood wicks bring a cozy crackle and beautiful flame to each and every burn.

What should I do if one or more wicks goes out?

It is completely normal for wood wicks to occasionally require relighting, especially during the first several burns while the candle establishes an even wax pool.

If one or more wicks extinguish:

Carefully relight the wick as soon as possible to maintain an even surface melt.

If excess wax begins surrounding a wick, extinguish the candle and allow the wax to cool slightly. You may gently remove a small amount of wax near the wick before relighting.

Keeping the wax surface level and the wicks evenly burning is especially important in oversized multi wick candles like Le Grand.

If you continue experiencing difficulty, we are always happy to help troubleshoot. Simply send us photos at support@rrebellion.com.

Why is my wood wick difficult to relight?

Before each burn, gently remove any loose charred wood from the previous burn and keep the wick trimmed short, approximately 1/8 inch. Wood wicks perform best when clean and properly maintained.

Because Wood Cross wicks are natural wood rather than cotton, they may require a few lighting attempts, especially after the first burn. For best results, use a torch or utility lighter and apply the flame near the base of the wick closest to the wax surface until the flame draws evenly across the wood. Traditional matches may not generate enough consistent heat for an easy relight.

VESSEL + REUSE

Is the Le Grand vessel reusable?

Absolutely.

The oversized Le Grand glass vessel was intentionally designed to live on long after the candle itself has finished burning.

Once cleaned, many customers repurpose the vessel as:

A floral centerpiece
Kitchen or coffee table décor
Storage vessel
Holiday styling piece
Planter
Entertaining accent

Its timeless scale and simplicity were designed with reuse in mind.

How do I clean out the Le Grand vessel after use?

Once less than 1 inch of wax remains, discontinue burning the candle and allow it to cool completely. To remove remaining wax, either place the vessel in the freezer to help release hardened wax easily, or carefully pour softened wax onto a paper towel and place it in the garbage. Never pour wax down the sink or drain. Once emptied, gently remove the wick tabs and clean the whiskey glass with warm water and mild soap before repurposing.

Can I send this as a gift?
