Orders typically ship within 1 to 3 business days from our studio in Pendleton, Oregon. Most Belle Candles are made to order due to their size and handcrafted nature, so processing times may occasionally be slightly longer during launches, holidays, or high volume periods.

Once your order ships, tracking information will be sent by email.

Domestic Shipping

We ship throughout the United States via USPS and UPS. Shipping times vary depending on carrier and location.

Because our Belle Candles are hand poured in oversized reusable vessels and crafted with four cross wood wicks, each candle is carefully packaged to help ensure safe arrival. Due to the size and weight of these candles, shipping times and carrier handling may occasionally vary.

Candle Care During Shipping

Extreme temperatures may affect natural wax during transit. If your candle arrives warm or softened, allow it to rest at room temperature before lighting.

Delivered Packages

Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, R. Rebellion is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. We strongly recommend selecting Shipping Protection at checkout for added coverage and peace of mind.

Returns + Exchanges

Due to the nature of home fragrance products and the handcrafted nature of our candles, all Belle Candles are considered final sale once burned or used.

Unused candles in original packaging may be eligible for return within 7 days of delivery with prior approval. Because of the size and weight of these vessels, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrives damaged or defective.

Our Belle Candles are crafted with all natural coconut soy wax, reusable glass vessels, and a premium Wood Cross wick designed to create a soft crackling ambiance inspired by the warmth of an open fire. With proper care, your candle is designed to provide a clean, even burn and approximately 70+ hours of burn time.

Before Each Burn

Gently remove any loose charred wood from the previous burn and keep the wick trimmed short, approximately 1/8 inch. Wood wicks perform best when clean and properly maintained.

Because Wood Cross wicks are crafted from natural wood rather than cotton, they may require multiple lighting attempts, especially after the first burn. For best results, we recommend using a torch or utility lighter rather than matches. Apply the flame near the base of the wick closest to the wax surface until the flame draws evenly across the wood.

Our Belle Candles feature a single oversized Wood Cross wick that may require a little extra patience during lighting. Be sure the wick is fully lit and remains lit before walking away. Wood wicks are beautifully atmospheric, but they can occasionally be a little divaish during the first few minutes of burning.

Achieving a Full Melt Pool

For best performance, allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the vessel during every burn, especially the first burn. Achieving a full melt pool edge to edge helps prevent tunneling and encourages a cleaner, more even burn throughout the life of the candle.

Most burn sessions should last approximately 3 to 5 hours depending on room temperature and environment. Short burn sessions that do not allow the wax to fully melt to the edges may cause tunneling, reducing both fragrance performance and overall burn life.

Burn Environment

To help maintain a cleaner burn, avoid placing candles near open windows, fans, air vents, or drafts. Airflow can cause uneven burning, excessive flickering, and additional carbon buildup on the inside of the glass.

A small amount of carbon residue may naturally occur over time with wood wick candles due to the larger, more ambient flame created by Wood Cross wicks. This is a normal part of the burning process and does not affect candle performance.

When to Stop Burning

Discontinue use once approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

Cleaning + Repurposing the Vessel

Once less than 1/2 inch of wax remains, allow the candle to cool completely before cleaning.

To remove remaining wax, either place the vessel in the freezer to help release hardened wax easily, or carefully pour softened wax onto a paper towel and place it in the garbage. Never pour wax down the sink or drain.

Once emptied, gently remove the wick tab and clean the vessel with warm water and mild soap before repurposing.

TRIM BEFORE EACH BURN

Gently remove loose charred wood and keep the wick trimmed to 1/8" for a clean, even flame.

ALLOW A FULL MELT POOL

Burn 4 to 6 hours. Allow melted wax to reach the edges of the glass during every burn to help prevent tunneling.

DISCONTINUE AT 1"

Stop burning when approximately 1 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the glass.

YOUR NEW VASE

Once finished, clean the glass with warm water and reuse it for floral or decor displays.

THE BELLE EXPERIENCE

Everything you need to know about burning, caring for, and getting the most from your Belle Candle.

BURN + PERFORMANCE

What makes the Belle Candle different?

The Belle Candle is our elegant everyday candle, made with all natural coconut soy wax, a single crackling wood wick, and a reusable vessel. It is designed for softer spaces, everyday rituals, and a refined home fragrance experience.

How long does the Belle Candle burn?

With proper care, the Belle Candle has an approximate burn time of 70+ hours.

How strong is the scent throw of the Belle Candle?

The Belle Candle was designed to fragrance bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, and smaller living spaces beautifully. In larger open concept rooms, scent throw may feel softer depending on airflow, ceiling height, room size, and the fragrance itself.

How long should I burn my Belle Candle?

For best performance, burn your Belle Candle for at least 4 hours at a time. During the first burn especially, allow the melted wax to fully reach the edges of the vessel to help prevent tunneling. To maintain an even burn throughout the life of the candle, a full melt pool should be achieved during each burn whenever possible.

Why is achieving a full melt pool important?

A full melt pool means the melted wax has reached evenly to the outer edges of the vessel. This is especially important during the first several burns of your Belle Candle.

If the candle is extinguished before the wax fully melts across the surface, the candle may begin tunneling around the wick while leaving hardened wax along the sides of the vessel. Over time, this can affect both the appearance and performance of the candle.

Tunneling may eventually lead to:

• Reduced fragrance throw
• Uneven burning
• Difficulty keeping the wood wick properly lit
• Shortened burn performance
• Unused wax remaining along the sides of the vessel

Because Belle Candles are made with all natural coconut soy wax and natural wood wicks, they perform best when given enough time to establish a full melt pool during each burn.

For best results:

• Burn your Belle Candle for at least 4 hours at a time
• Allow the melted wax to fully reach the edges of the vessel before extinguishing
• Keep the wood wick trimmed short between burns
• Avoid placing the candle near fans, vents, or open windows

The reward is a cleaner, more even burn and a better fragrance experience throughout the life of the candle.

Why does my candle look uneven after burning?

Natural waxes may develop slight texture changes, frosting, or uneven surfaces as they cool. These are normal characteristics of handcrafted candles and do not affect performance.

Why is there wax remaining at the bottom following the final burn?

For safety reasons, we recommend discontinuing use once approximately 1 to 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

Allowing any candle to burn completely empty can cause excessive heat transfer to the glass.

The remaining wax helps protect the integrity of the vessel during the candle’s final burns.

Why is there black residue on the glass?

A small amount of carbon buildup or dark residue on the inside of the vessel may naturally occur over time with wood wick candles, especially if the wick becomes too long or the candle is exposed to drafts, fans, or airflow. Because wood wicks create a softer, more ambient flame than traditional cotton wicks, occasional residue is a normal part of the burning process and does not affect candle performance.

To help maintain a cleaner burn, gently remove loose charred wood before each lighting, keep the wick trimmed short to approximately 1/8 inch, and avoid burning near open windows, vents, or fans. Any residue can typically be wiped away easily once the candle has cooled.

WOOD WICK CARE

How short should I trim a wood wick candle?

Trim the wood wick to approximately 1/8 inch before each burn. Keeping the wick short helps maintain a cleaner, steadier flame and reduces excess smoke or uneven burning.

How do I properly light a wood wick candle?

Wood wicks perform best when trimmed short and lit near the base of the wick where the wood meets the wax. Because wood wicks are natural, a utility lighter or torch lighter usually works better than standard matches.

What should I do if one or more wicks goes out?

It is completely normal for wood wicks to occasionally require relighting, especially during the first several burns while the candle establishes an even wax pool. If one or more wicks extinguish: Carefully relight the wick as soon as possible to maintain an even surface melt.If excess wax begins surrounding a wick, extinguish the candle and allow the wax to cool slightly. You may gently remove a small amount of wax near the wick before relighting.

Keeping the wax surface level and the wicks evenly burning is especially important in oversized multi wick candles like Le Grand.

If you continue experiencing difficulty, we are always happy to help troubleshoot. Simply send us photos at support@rrebellion.com

Why is my wood wick difficult to light?

Wood wicks behave differently than cotton wicks and may require a slower, steadier lighting process. Before relighting, gently remove loose charred wood and keep the wick trimmed short. Hold the flame at the base of the wick until the flame draws evenly across the wood surface.
