BURN TIME + CARE TIPS

The Belle Candle offers a generous burn time of 70+ hours, thanks to its premium coconut soy wax blend and size. To achieve this full burn time, we recommend burning the candle for at least 4 hours per session, allowing the melt pool to reach the edge of the glass. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn, maximizing the candle’s longevity and fragrance throw.

Tunneling occurs when a candle burns straight down, leaving a ring of unburned wax around the edges. To avoid this, ensure the candle burns long enough to melt the entire surface layer of wax during each session. For a large candle like yours, this could take 4+ hours per burn.

The melt pool is the layer of liquid wax that forms around the wick during burning. A full melt pool helps ensure an even burn and maximizes the scent throw. For large candles like this, a full melt pool helps prevent tunneling and wasted wax.

It’s normal to have a small amount of wax left at the bottom of your Belle Candle after it has finished burning. This happens for safety reasons, as the wick clips are designed to extinguish the flame once the candle has reached the end of its safe burning limit. This prevents the vessel from overheating and protects surfaces underneath the candle. The remaining wax acts as a barrier, ensuring a safe burn.

To clean out the remaining wax from your vase, follow these steps:

  1. Freeze the Wax: Place the vase in the freezer for a few hours. This will harden and shrink the wax, making it easier to remove.
  2. Remove the Wax: After freezing, gently use a butter knife or spoon to loosen and pop the wax out of the vase. Be careful not to apply too much pressure to avoid damaging the vase.
  3. Clean the Vessel: Once the wax is removed, wash the inside of the vase with warm, soapy water. Avoid using harsh chemicals to preserve the integrity and finish of the glass.
  4. Repurpose the Vase: After cleaning, the vase can be repurposed as a decorative piece, a flower vase, or a storage container, offering a beautiful new life for your candle vessel.
